Teacher
The teacher's guide
Your space holds only your classes, your students and your lessons. Three actions cover most of what you will do: check your schedule, take attendance, enter your grades.
In brief
- The four screens that cover the day to day.
- What goes out to families automatically when you record an absence.
- What belongs to the administrator rather than to you.
A typical day
- You open your schedule My schedule shows the day's sessions, with the room and the group.
- You take attendance Two minutes at the start of the lesson. See Taking attendance.
- You enter whatever is due A grade, a comment, a message to a family — depending on the time of year.
The four screens to know
My schedule and my classes
Your sessions, your groups and your student lists.
Taking attendance
The four states, locking, alerts to parents.
Assessments and comments
Create an assessment, enter grades, write comments.
Online courses
Publish a course in modules, with quizzes and progress tracking.
At the end of term
Two things are asked of you before report cards are produced: that your attendance sheets are complete, and that your comments are written for every student in each of your subjects. The administrator then locks, and nothing can be changed afterwards.
What you cannot do
- create or delete a student — that belongs to the administrator;
- change the timetable outside your own sessions;
- lock an assessment or an attendance sheet;
- reach the school settings or the billing.
If you cannot see a class
It is almost always because you are not named as the teacher on the slot concerned. Tell your administrator: the fix takes them a few seconds.
