Your space in Kiteba: your students, your timetable, your settings. It is sealed off from every other school.
Level
How far along a student is — Year 7, second year, cycle 2. A student holds a single level. Levels can nest inside one another.
Group (or class)
Who the student takes lessons with. A student can belong to several groups. The timetable hangs off the group. Called group in a training centre, class elsewhere.
Subject
What gets taught. Used by the timetable, assessments and comments.
Student
The person enrolled. Called trainee in a training centre. Does not necessarily have an account.

Recurring slot
The rule: "Tuesdays 2 to 3 pm, Mathematics, 7B". It is not a lesson, it is what produces them.
Session
An actual lesson, on a given date. It is what attendance is taken on and what assessments hang off. Called Lesson in a school, Session in a music school or a training centre.
One-off session
A session created on its own, with no repetition: catch-up, rehearsal, visiting speaker.
Working days
The days the school is open. An undeclared day accepts no session.
Holiday period
A date range during which no session is created.

Assessment
A graded piece of work, attached to a session. Carries a scale, a coefficient and an academic term.
Publish
Make the grades visible to students and parents. Reversible.
Lock
Freeze the grades read-only. Final, including for the administrator.
Comment
A remark per student, subject and term. One per combination.
Academic term
How the year is divided — monthly, termly or half-yearly. Determines what goes on the report card.
Report card
The end-of-term PDF: grades, averages, comments and attendance summary.
Roles and access

Administrator
Full access to the school. The only role that configures, imports, locks and manages the subscription.
Teacher
Their classes, their students, their schedule. Records attendance, grades and comments.
Student
Reads their own data. Can change nothing.
Parent
Reads their children's data, submits absence notes, writes to the team.
Parent-child link
The connection between a parent and a student. Declared by the administrator, then confirmed by the parent. Without that confirmation the parent sees nothing.
Parent portal / student portal
Two switches that open or close those roles' access to the app.

15 days, no card required, everything unlocked. At the end, the school is locked for every role.
Plan
Starter, Pro, Growth or Enterprise. Sets three ceilings: students, staff accounts and storage.
Option
A feature billed on top of the plan: online courses, payment link.
Storage quota
The space taken by your files — logos, attachments, absence notes. Once full, it blocks uploads.
Payment link
A button placed in an announcement, pointing at your own payment solution. Kiteba handles no money.
